So, you tell me ... what else should one do when driving at 1 mph for 11 miles! Below is what I would have seen for all that time if I hadn't been picking up my camera periodically to capture the beauty.
Textures thanks to Pixel Dust: Feelings and Unconditional. Also, adjusted levels and added poster edges filter.

Such a lovely photo ( well not of the string of cars) but agree that the snow is simply gorgeous. Have been thinking of you and wondering how your hike was! Hope that your thanksgiving was lovely also!
ReplyDeletephenomenal transition from your original to your "gift" . . . just great!
ReplyDeletethe processing made such a beautiful difference (whether posterizing or difference filter) - very nice. I like it. thanks for sharing, karen {visiting from Bonnie's PAF)
ReplyDeleteI could get to like snow if it looked like that - I often think I'd like to apply the filters to life!!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad that I don't have to drive anywhere like that! You've captured the beauty of the snowy day so wonderfully, though!
ReplyDeleteOkay I have to admit that I am so not a lover of snow or driving in it but I think your photo is quite lovely.
ReplyDeleteI never thought I'd say this about snow, but lucky you!!!
ReplyDeleteIt has been so unseasonably mild here in NY with temps in the 60s up until a couple of days ago. I am worried that there will be no snow for Santa's sleigh!! :-)
Thank you so much for sharing at The Creative Exchange this week.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Gift of a snowy day. Personnally i hate the stuff! But when i see images like that i could, perhaps, be convinced to change my mind. Normally one would ewant the snow to be undisturbed, but here those tyre tracks really help by guiding the eye into the picture.
ReplyDeleteA great image!
But i still hate the stuff !!!
Nice snowy shots!
ReplyDeleteSnowy days are so pure and pristine. You have certainly captured that with your photography and processsing. Just lovely. Good use of traffic time! Thank you for sharing your work with Photo Art Friday!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! Keep warm :)
ReplyDeleteAh...I greatly enjoyed seeing your before and after processing! Its wonderful to see a snowy day. I just don't get those here in San Antonio. Been getting lots of rain though. And for the rain I am very thankful!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Great composition and perfect use of texture.
ReplyDeleteLissa, thank you for sharing one of your best gifts, i.e., your talent for combining photos and observations. Sweet.
