Of course, that isn't terribly convenient, especially given the workflow process, but quite helpful, indeed.
So, given that fact that I only had minimal tools at all ... hammer, screwdrivers, wrenches, an old Skil drill ... I dove right in for some other necessities.
- a used table saw
- two used saw horses
- a new Milwaukee drill, what a difference
- a new Makita router, which I fell in love with the first time I used it
- a new orbital sander
- a 4.5" Tacklife mini circular saw
Not long after, I added
- a new brad nailer
- a new multi-tool
- a new hand belt sander
Whew!! that's a lot!
After all this, I actually decided to take a charcuterie board class at Denver's I Made It Workshop. This was the best thing I could ever do. We worked through all the steps in the right order, how to use the tools (safely!), and came out with a beautiful finished product.
My very first charcuterie board. I was so proud of myself.
I did take a second class with my son and made a second one at I Made It Workshop. I gave this one to my former husband who has helped me so much over the years.
And then I was off and running. I actually got a commission for a charcuterie board. So the first thing I did was make a sample, the size of a nice trivet.
