Tales from Kobi: Waneka Lake

Mom took me with her to look for "yellow" for her Walk and Click Wednesdays this week (look for those soon), so we went to a local walking path around Waneka Lake. The water is a bit low and the mountains are hiding behind a bit of a haze due to more fires in Wyoming. It's still fun to get out and do a little walking. Those of you in Kim Klassen's Beyond Layers ... do you notice mom's "dots" around a shape? She used little pup-paw prints instead of dots and in this picture they look a bit like little clouds, don't you think? ... but you can see them better here in the circle around me. How fun! That tennis ball I have in my mouth ... I found that on the trail. It got hotter than we expected though, so I kept dropping it on the path. At one point it fell down in a dry tributary from the lake and Mom went down there to recover it for me. She also carried it part of the way because my air conditioner wasn't working too well with my mouth full!! Ahhhh ... this grass was so nice and cool -- a rest with Wilson as I watched some kids play on the playground. They have so much fun. Wish I could swing or slide down the bumpy slide. You'll see that soon in the focus on yellow. Hope you all had as great a weekend as I did. When I got home I got a great big drink of water and slept the afternoon away. It's the only way to live. See you soon, my friends. Kobi

  2. Hi Kobi,

Your Mom took some wonderful photos and I love her editing! Makes me wish now I had taken Kim's class. I so adore the circle element on her 2nd picture. Enjoy your tennis ball and lazy days in the grass.
