Walk and Click Wednesday #27: Lost in the Void

It's time for Walk and Click Wednesdays!

Have you ever intended to go exploring, to go for a walk ... someplace new, but found yourself lost with no place to stop, no place that enticed you to take a single picture?

I went out both Saturday and Sunday and came home empty handed. In fact, Sunday I traveled to Denver with high hopes of taking some street photography inspired by my friend, Lisa Gordon. But it was not to be ... although I've rarely shied away from going places alone, I found myself in a full-blown anxiety attack and before long was headed home.

Textures thanks to Kim Klassen: Phoebe

So, this week, instead of a walk and click adventure, I just bring you my sweet Kobi, with a bit of melted snow on his snout, longing for a real walk rather than a visit to the back yard ... hoping Mom finds time and energy again soon.

And I want to leave you with the view from my office ... and the Rocky Mountains dusted with snow! (taken last Friday)

Can't wait to see where all of you have been this week and hope to get inspired again. ;->

~~~~~
I look forward to seeing you here for Walk and Click Wednesdays. Can't wait to see what you saw on your strolls.
Please join me in the adventure. The only "requirement" other than those below is that you go out walking and take some pictures. Please keep in mind that you don't have to walk, take pictures, process them, and post all on Wednesday ... take the weekend before to explore and a few days to process your photos ... then link up.
Walk and Click Wednesdays (WCW) Guidelines:
Are you new to Walk and Click Wednesdays? The party will open on Wednesday and close on Saturday at midnight.
Here are just a few guidelines to keep everyone on target.
  • Please link directly to your WCW blog post or the specific flickr image, not to your main blog url or flickr stream url. Please do not link to an online shop.
  • Please link back to laf Custom Designs. I'd love it if you'd share my WCW button on your blog (it's over there on the sidebar--see it?--just under the Friends Who Love It Here icons). It will also serve as a reminder to you since I know you all have a lot going on in your lives.
  • Please visit the other WCW participants and share the love. Gotta get this party goin' on.
Have a great weekend and find some time to walk and click. ;->
  1. I've done that - gone out thinking I'll come back with a camera full of photos - then nothing. Oh well, the view from your office is amazing. Love those mountains!
  2. Bummer that you had a challenging weekend for taking pictures. Take a deep breath and try again this weekend. You just have hit a temporary stumbling block.
  3. Been there done that...right down to the anxiety thing. It makes the successful shoots all the more precious. One look into Kobi's eyes makes it all better, eh?
  4. Sorry things didn't work out the way you wanted. It's happened to me too. But hey...that Kobi looks JUST like MY Utley! What kind of dog is he?
  5. Strange, I have a thing about taking photos by myself in strange places. I am fine if my hubby is there with me. Otherwise I won't even try. I know I have left some good photo ops behind doing that. Kobi looks like my sister's little dog!
  6. I've "seen" so many pictures that I have been unable to take because when I get there I just can't bear to get out the camera and become a spectacle -- I know what how you feel. It's so frustrating. It does seem to be easier for me if I can bring someone else along...although all you guys live too far away from me for a proper photowalk! : )
    Your Kobi is adorable and the view from your office is breathtaking! Wow!
  7. Oh Lissa, no. I am so sorry that happened.
    I am sure it was disappointing, but you know what?
    Denver nor anywhere else can hold a candle to that sweet little Kobi, and just my opinion, but this is one of your very best of him.
    Simply perfection!
  10. Sweet kobi! He looks so cute with that snow on his face! Sorry you had trouble in Denver, but just enjoy what you are doing and don't worry about it. Next time, perhaps things will go more smoothly. probably just all the changes going on in your life with the new job! Spring is coming, and that is good. Hugs to you from Texas!
  11. Ah, sweet Kobi, always so willing to have his picture taken! Just the thought of street photography makes me have anxiety attacks. I've tried a few times, but just can't do it! I would up taking a couple of quick shots of people walking away!! And, then delecting them when I got home! Beautiful view from your office. I'm not sure I'd get any work done!!
